School for Social Entrepreneurs (SSE)

“Social entrepreneur” is a new
phrase in China. Most people do
not know what a social entrepreneur
is or what he or she does – a
knowledge gap that was lled last
Thursday at the Social Innovation
and the Third Sector Conference.

SSE, established in 1997,
addresses inequalities and social
exclusion by supporting social
entrepreneurs to translate their
talent into tangible social outcomes.
The school provides training, guidance,
strategic help and mentoring
opportunities to people who are
committed to work for society.

これまた面白いことやってるなー。彼らはオーストラリアにも進出し、中国も射程距離に入っているんだって。日本にだって、あってもいいよな。

story. She went to the UK as
a refugee from Eastern Europe in
1999. She could not speak English
and was frightened by everything
around her.

そして彼女は、差別から逃れるために狭い共同体に閉じこもり、ドラッグと犯罪に溺れていく... わけではなくて、力強く立ち上がってSSEのプログラムに参加する。

Her Shpresa Program,
started in 2001, is a communityled
organization that works with
the Albanian speaking community,
including refugees, asylum
seekers and migrants from Albania,
Kosovo, Macedonia and Montenegro.
The program enables them to
settle and fully participate in a new
society, gain condence and make
progress in their lives.
