足踏みしてても、クツは減るぜ。

半月ほど滞在していたシンガポールについて書こうかと思っていたんだけど、
（奇跡的な経済成長の影にある、言論の自由が極端に制限されているひどく専制的な国家と、そこで育った人々についてのはなし。）


じっくり書く気分でもないから今日は別の話にしよう。


Barak Obama大統領のつぶやき*1について。"State of the Union"がテーマ。
#SOTUってハッシュタグで、2時間前くらいから20分間で29 Tweets.
#SOTUはtrending wordになってて、世界中で(たぶん特にアメリカで)つぶやかれまくってる。

"We will move forward together, or not at all―for the challenges we face are bigger than party and bigger than politics."
とスローガンを語るつぶやき。


檄も飛ばす。
"The future is ours to win. But to get there, we can’t just stand still."


励ます。
"We need to out-innovate, out-educate, and out-build the rest of the world. We have to make America the best place to do business."


"What we can do―what America does better than anyone―is spark the creativity and imagination of our people. "
"This is our generation’s Sputnik moment."
いよいよ盛り上がって参りました。

各種政策についても触れる。減税の効果。
"Thanks to the tax cuts we passed, Americans’ paychecks are a little bigger today."


"We need to take responsibility for our deficit and reform our government. That’s how our people will prosper."
"I am proposing that starting this year, we freeze annual domestic spending for the next five years."
なんて、ちゃっかり政府債務と行政改革についても述べてみる。大胆な提案もしておく。


"Tonight I challenge you to join me in setting a new goal: by 2035, 80% of America’s electricity will come from clean energy sources."
クリーンエナジーの数値目標も言っておく。


他にも、教育、移民の問題、健康保険。いろいろとつぶやいてる。

最後にこう締めくくる。
"Starting this year, no American will be forbidden from serving the country they love because of who they love."
"From the earliest days of our founding, America has been the story of ordinary people who dare to dream. That’s how we win the future."
"It is because of our people that our future is hopeful, our journey goes forward, and the state of our union is strong."


なんかさ。
定性/定量メッセージのバランスがいいとか、自らagenda shapingしてtwitter上での議論を喚起してるとか、
きっちり数値目標を示してるとか、見るべきところはいろいろあるんだろうけど。


それ以前に、
こういう政治家の熱いつぶやきがretweetされて、
自然と(少なくとも一定量の)人々を魅了して、うねりが生まれて。


そういうことって日本でも起こりうるんだろうか。
若い国、アメリカだから出来ることなのか？
理念の国、アメリカだからなのかな？


明確な敵もいなくて、国が明示的に危機に瀕しているわけでもなくて。
それでもこういうメッセージが熱を持ちうるのは、なんでなんだろう。


さてと。そろそろ仕事に戻ろう。
